Equipment Technician – OMT MQC Chemlab

About the role

The Equipment Technician is responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the performance of laboratory equipment within the assigned area. Working closely with shift operations, equipment engineers, and tool vendors, the role combines mechanical, electronic, and software skills to keep tools running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Adhere to safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Operate, maintain, and collect data from equipment such as IC analyzers, Gas Chromatographs (GC), and ICP‑MS instruments.
• Conduct abnormal analysis and reaction tracing to diagnose issues.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets.
• Monitor tool performance, troubleshoot mechanical and electronic problems, and execute repairs.
• Integrate AI‑assisted tools to improve efficiency and quality.

Required profile

• Preferred background in Chemistry, Chemical Industry, or Chemical Engineering (not mandatory).
• Higher vocational education or higher is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and wear PPE.
• Availability for day/night shifts with regular attendance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong teamwork ethic, proactive communication, and patience.
