Engineering Technician IV

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions, designing and servicing equipment for semiconductor and display manufacturing. Key responsibilities

• Perform complex electro‑mechanical design, testing, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronics and systems.
• Test and troubleshoot system‑level and component‑level issues in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum subsystems with minimal supervision.
• Develop and document test procedures, logbooks, and technical reports; assist in revising and implementing procedures.
• Conduct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on AMAT platforms according to engineering and manufacturing specifications.
• Provide technical input to resolve problems at both system and manufacturing levels and train lower‑level technicians.

Required profile

• Physically demanding role requiring standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operation of heavy machinery such as forklifts and cranes.
• Ability to work in clean‑room environments using appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interface across departments and provide technical guidance.
• Preferred: good English communication and experience hosting meetings in English.
