Electrical Engineer – Device Development

About the role

Snap Inc. is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support device development for its Specs line of advanced eyewear. You will work on‑site with contract manufacturers and collaborate across hardware, firmware, software, thermal and RF teams to bring consumer‑grade products to market.

Key responsibilities

• Support electrical engineering execution across development builds at contract manufacturers.
• Perform failure analysis, hands‑on debugging, root‑cause investigation and drive corrective actions.
• Test and validate PCB designs, define schematics and layout, and review stack‑up definitions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align on execution and ensure design compliance.

Required profile

• BS/BA in Electrical Engineering or related field (MS preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in electrical/hardware engineering, preferably in consumer electronics.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% to China and the US.
• Demonstrated ability to ship products at scale and develop manufacturing processes.

Required skills

• Strong fundamentals in electronic design, component selection and schematic creation.
• Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Cadence Allegro and OrCAD Capture.
• Experience defining stack‑up, layout review and PCB fabrication requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with lab instrumentation, test station development and debugging.
