Cost Accountant

About the role

The Cost Accountant will partner with TMG sites across regions and the US inventory team to maintain billion‑dollar inventory valuations, support strategic initiatives, and drive transformational process improvements. This role provides a critical link between finance, operations, and IT to ensure accurate costing and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute monthly and quarterly close, inventory valuation, audits, intercompany pricing, and ensure full compliance with ICC, TI policies, and GAAP.
• Participate in standardizing costing procedures across A/T factories and lead cycle‑count planning, coordination, and consolidation initiatives.
• Monitor inventory aging, compliance, and coordinate with procurement and operations on inventory requirements.
• Collaborate with finance and management on periodic reviews, ad‑hoc analysis, and continuous process improvement, including automation.
• Drive strategic vision for accounting processes supporting factory expansion and higher production volumes.
• Lead cross‑functional projects with IT, including a global redesign of inventory ownership and costing.
• Train team members and other functions on inventory accounting and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with TI systems, operational finance, or cost accounting.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence across management levels.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation).
• Knowledge of Spotfire.
• Familiarity with Business Objects.
