Business Development Manager – Crypto Payments

About the role

Gate Pay, the crypto‑native payment network of Gate, is looking for a results‑driven Business Development Manager to accelerate merchant adoption of crypto payments worldwide. You will own the end‑to‑end acquisition process, turning Web2 businesses into active users of Gate Pay’s payment and settlement solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, approach, and onboard merchants to adopt Gate Pay as their primary payment method.
• Convert Web2 merchants into crypto‑enabled payment use cases, including payments, remittances, and on/off‑ramp flows.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of high‑volume crypto‑native merchants, platforms, and payment users.
• Establish partnerships with wallets, PSPs, fintech platforms, and crypto infrastructure providers.
• Drive transaction volume (GMV) by enabling recurring crypto payment use cases across your network.
• Own the full sales cycle from outreach to integration and long‑term account growth.
• Collaborate with merchants post‑onboarding to ensure sustained success and identify new segments for expansion.

Required profile

• 3+ years of Business Development or Sales experience with strong exposure to crypto, Web3, or digital assets.
• Proven track record in merchant acquisition, payment partnerships, or BD within web3 ecosystems.
• Established network in at least one of the following: Web2 merchants (e‑commerce, digital services), crypto‑native merchants/platforms, PSPs, fintechs, or payment infrastructure players.
• Demonstrated ability to translate relationships into measurable transaction volume and revenue.
• Bias for execution, results‑driven mindset, and ability to move fast.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.
