BMS Application Supervisor (Commissioning)

About the role

jci is hiring an Application Supervisor for Building Management Systems (BMS) in Taipei, focused on commissioning. The role covers testing, programming and handover of building automation systems for HVAC, lighting and access control.

Key responsibilities

• System testing and commissioning: carry out physical I/O loop testing, functional testing and system calibration for HVAC, lighting and access control systems.
• Software and graphics: load, test and debug BMS software programs, and build and optimise GUIs and SCADA/HMI screens so operators can monitor the building.
• Protocol integration: ensure seamless integration of building subsystems using protocols such as BACnet (IP, MS/TP), Modbus and LonWorks.
• Troubleshooting: diagnose and resolve hardware faults, wiring issues and logic errors.
• Documentation and handover: produce commissioning reports, snag lists and O&M manuals for client approval.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• Typically 2-5 years of BMS or HVAC controls experience, progressing from junior or service engineering roles.
• Strong analytical thinking, ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics, and good communication with clients, project managers and contractors.

Required skills

• Proficiency with major industry platforms such as Johnson Controls (MetaSys), Siemens (Desigo, PX) or Schneider Electric.
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus and LonWorks protocols.
