Application Engineer – PCB Manufacturing

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a motivated Application Engineer to support process‑related activities and equipment applications for semiconductor and electronics customers, focusing on PCB manufacturing companies. The role is based in Hsinchu and involves frequent travel to customer sites across Taiwan and occasional overseas trips.

Key responsibilities

• Support customer‑facing engineering activities related to process applications and equipment performance for PCB manufacturers and OSAT customers.
• Travel regularly within Taiwan (Yangmei, Hukou, Kaohsiung) for short‑term assignments and provide on‑site technical assistance.
• Participate in on‑site training and online learning programs to develop product and process expertise.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related) from a University of Science and Technology.
• New college graduates or candidates with up to 3 years of experience; customer‑engineer background is a plus.
• Fluent in Mandarin and proficient in English (TOEIC 550+).

Required skills

• Knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles.
• Understanding of Fluid Mechanics.
• Familiarity with PCB manufacturing environments.
