Application Engineer – Display eBeam

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Application Engineer to develop and support eBeam display processes at its Tainan Display Manufacturing Center and Lab. The role combines deep technical expertise with customer interaction to deliver innovative display solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Understand customer technologies, identify critical gaps, and drive solutions through the full work cycle.
• Lead complex application activities, coordinate execution teams, and conduct on‑site evaluations and demos.
• Interface with customers to analyze technical requirements, define support plans, and schedule implementations.
• Create and lead new methodologies to optimize system performance for specific applications.
• Develop and transfer new application capabilities from product division to customer support teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the semiconductor or display industry.
• Proven customer‑facing and project‑management experience.
• Knowledge of eBeam testing and inspection technology.
• Willingness to travel 20‑30 % of the time.
• Strong English communication and presentation skills.
