Analyst, Qualitative Research

About the role

NielsenIQ's Consumer Insights practice designs tailored research solutions for complex business problems. As part of the Consumer Insights team in Taipei, you will work with some of Taiwan's biggest brands across FMCG, retail, automotive and more. You will manage bespoke research projects using traditional methods as well as next-generation research tools, covering brand and advertising, customer experience and customised research, supported by the company's product portfolio and data sets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior staff in conducting research studies, from design, execution, moderation, analysis, charting and presentation to client servicing.
• Collect, document and conduct thematic analysis of qualitative data, turning insights into compelling narratives.
• Help prepare and deliver quotations and proposals, and handle client requests under supervision.
• Deliver services promptly and work closely with the team to offer total client service and solutions.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date client business profiles, especially for repeat clients, to share with seniors after one year.

Required profile

• Sociable, open-minded, outgoing, empathetic, energetic and articulate.
• Sound analytical thinking and strong marketing sense.
• Highly motivated and reliable, with strong project management and organisational skills.
• Able to handle stress and work under time pressure.
• Able to draw deep insights from client and user feedback and understand what clients and users really need.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.

Required skills

• Experience supporting qualitative studies, including focus group discussions and one-on-one in-depth interviews (a plus).
• Ability to execute or support qualitative research.
