Account Manager – Research Intelligence

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our Research Intelligence team in Taiwan. You will work closely with universities, research institutes and government agencies to promote and support Elsevier’s scientific database and analytics solutions. The role involves both client‑facing activities and strategic account planning to drive revenue and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve revenue targets for a portfolio that includes Scopus, SciVal, Pure, analytical services and LeapSpace.
• Understand client needs through a consultative approach and translate them into tailored solution packages.
• Develop and execute account strategies, conduct annual planning and maintain up‑to‑date records in Salesforce.
• Monitor competitor activity, provide market feedback and contribute to product development.
• Participate in trade shows, conferences and other industry events to generate leads.
• Build and nurture relationships with decision‑makers and influencers at customer organisations.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in sales or a related field.
• Proven ability to operate on operational, tactical and strategic levels.
• Track record of selling technology and solutions to academic or research customers.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven and comfortable with domestic travel.
