Trade Operation Supervisor

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Trade Operation Supervisor to lead logistics and import/export activities across its Taiwan network. The role ensures smooth product movement, high customer satisfaction, and strict adherence to customs and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse, 3PL relationships and import/export operations.
• Own end‑to‑end import compliance for Taiwan, including licensing, permits and documentation for controlled goods.
• Classify products under HTS, ECCN and export‑control jurisdictions and keep records up to date.
• Conduct denied‑party and restricted‑party screening for customers, distributors and vendors.
• Lead internal and external trade‑compliance audits, drive corrective actions and improve internal controls.
• Maintain working relationships with Taiwan Customs and regulatory bodies (TFDA, BOFT, CDC, NCC, MOA, BSMI).
• Develop and maintain living SOPs for Taiwan import compliance.
• Utilise trade‑compliance systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to execute classification, licensing and documentation workflows.
• Support due‑diligence reviews of third‑party distributors and suppliers.
• Provide training to internal teams on customs regulations, export controls and trade policy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in import compliance and customs regulations, preferably within Taiwan.
• Strong knowledge of HTS, ECCN and export‑control frameworks.
• Ability to manage audits, corrective actions and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders and external authorities.
