Senior Procurement Specialist - MLCC, Inductors and Substrates

About the role

Renesas Electronics is looking for a Senior Procurement/Purchasing Specialist in Zhubei who has hands-on experience with MLCC, inductors and embedded substrates. The role leads strategic sourcing and commercial management for these components, drives cost optimization, ensures supply continuity and owns end-to-end supplier strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, long-term agreements, capacity, price adjustments and payment terms for MLCC, inductors and embedded substrates.
• Own supplier strategy and act as a key decision driver in supplier selection and allocation.
• Drive cost optimization using cost breakdown analysis, should-cost modeling and localization strategies.
• Work with Engineering and Product groups to ensure component readiness across NPI, ramp-up and lifecycle.
• Manage capacity planning, allocation and long-term supply assurance with key suppliers, and identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Lead contract governance (MSA, NDA, pricing frameworks) and supplier performance management through KPI tracking and reviews.
• Escalate and resolve critical issues on quality, delivery, capacity and commercial disputes.
• Act as the strategic interface between internal functions and suppliers on roadmap, cost and execution.

Required profile

• 10+ years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in the semiconductor or electronics industry.
• Fluent English; Japanese is a plus.
• Strong familiarity with passive components (MLCC, inductors, embedded substrate) is a strong advantage.
• Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management or program management is highly preferred.
