Technical Product Support Engineer – SPG Organization

About the role

The Technical Product Support (TPS) Engineer works at the intersection of product engineering, customer support, and field operations within the Semiconductor Product Group. You will drive resolution of complex technical issues, support new product introductions, and improve system performance through data‑driven analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support for engineering systems used in application and reliability labs.
• Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis of complex equipment and process issues, driving resolution for high‑value problems.
• Act as the primary interface between customers, field teams, and engineering to ensure timely issue escalation and resolution.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and beta site activities, including installation, calibration, testing, and early‑stage issue resolution.
• Analyze system performance metrics (Uptime, MTBF, Availability) to identify trends and drive product and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, or problem diagnosis.
• Experience with Applied Materials (AMAT) tools is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.
