Tank Cleaner

About the role

We are looking for a Tank Cleaner to join our Operations team at Stolt Tank Containers. The role involves cleaning and maintaining bulk‑liquid tank containers at our depots, ensuring they meet safety, environmental and customer standards.

Key responsibilities

• Clean assigned tanks daily, handling dirty tanks as they become available.
• Collect chemical waste and first‑rinse water in drums for proper disposal.
• Perform periodic pressure‑valve tests and overhaul valves when required.
• Fit seals, gaskets, accessories and ensure all tank features (thermometers, pressure valves, rupture discs, remote‑control lines) are functional.
• Verify tanks are leak‑free, undamaged and meet road‑law requirements.
• Record parts used and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Carry out minor tank repairs such as cladding patches, walkway straightening and frame repairs, reporting completion to the operations coordinator.
• Assist supervisors with depot‑wide tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in tank cleaning and tank repair.
• Ability to follow safety and OHSE procedures.
• Attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping.
