Taiwan Controller – Finance Partner

About the role

The Taiwan Controller acts as the senior finance partner to the General Manager and the Taiwan leadership team, ensuring financial integrity while supporting profitable growth, operational productivity, and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial advice, business insight, and decision support on strategy, pricing, cost management, and commercial decisions.
• Maintain effective controls and corporate finance policies, review key transactions, and ensure proper documentation.
• Lead finance analysis for project bidding, investment evaluation, contract renewals, capital projects, productivity initiatives, and asset optimization.
• Deliver high‑quality reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance metrics for Taiwan and support Asia‑wide consolidation.
• Identify business and financial risks, support mitigation plans, and supply fact‑based analysis for operational decisions.
• Represent Finance in Taiwan JV governance, board matters, audit, tax, and other local finance requirements.
• Coordinate communication between Taiwan business, Asia Finance, shared services, treasury, and tax functions.
• Coach and develop the Taiwan finance analysis team, fostering technical capability and a business‑partnering mindset.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field; MBA or professional finance qualification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of finance, controllership, or business decision‑support experience, preferably in electronics, semiconductor, or fast‑growing manufacturing environments.
• Strong business acumen, cash‑flow and investment analysis skills, and solid FP&A capabilities.
• Proven leadership, communication, and influencing abilities with senior management and cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to navigate complex joint‑venture environments and manage stakeholder relationships.
