Speech and Debate Club Teacher

About the role

Asia American International Academy (AAIA) is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Speech and Debate Club Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students develop a strong understanding of communication skillsets, college‑level course readiness, and critical thinking skills within an international learning environment. The role is part‑time, compensated hourly with a negotiable rate based on qualifications and experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication, English, or a related field
• Native or near‑native English proficiency, with the ability to conduct classes entirely in English
• Experience teaching or facilitating Speech, Debate, Public Speaking, or Model United Nations (MUN) courses/clubs
• Prior experience competing in or coaching debate competitions
• Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to student growth, academic excellence, and the mission of AAIA
• Values global perspectives and student‑centered learning
• Ability to commit to a part‑time position; compensation is hourly and rate is negotiable based on qualifications and experience
