About the role
Asia American International Academy (AAIA) is looking for a dedicated Social Studies Teacher to join its faculty. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop a deep understanding of historical events, geographic concepts, and critical thinking within an international learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging lessons that cover historical events, geography, and critical‑thinking skills.
- Teach Advanced Placement (AP) US History or other AP Social Studies courses, preparing students for AP examinations.
- Organize and facilitate National History Day (NHD) projects and related extracurricular activities.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in History, Social Studies Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching license or equivalent teaching experience.
- Experience teaching AP Social Studies courses (preferred).
- Experience with National History Day facilitation (preferred).
- Strong communication, classroom‑management, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student growth, academic excellence, and AAIA’s mission.
