About the role
Supermicro is seeking a senior Signal Integrity Engineer to support the development of high‑performance server motherboards. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams and external partners to ensure robust power and signal integrity across DDR4/5 and PCIe Gen4/5 designs.
Key responsibilities
- Run Power Integrity (PI) analyses and provide feedback to design and lab teams.
- Execute Signal Integrity (SI) simulations and advise on mitigation strategies.
- Develop scripts to resolve design and PCB manufacturing challenges.
- Define and refine design methodologies that improve quality and productivity.
- Work with CAD tool vendors for evaluation and support.
- Collaborate with PCB and contract manufacturers to assess materials and stack‑ups.
Required profile
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Team‑oriented attitude with the ability to work across multiple disciplines.
- Self‑motivated and able to quickly learn unfamiliar issues.
- Result‑driven mindset to deliver robust solutions under tight schedules.
- Discipline to follow processes and execute tasks accurately.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CADENCE SKILL (preferred).
- Experience using Allegro PCB layout tools (a plus).
- Knowledge of Power Integrity analysis tools such as SIwave.
- Familiarity with high‑speed SI modeling using HFSS.
- Simulation experience with HSPICE and ADS.
