Senior Procurement Specialist – Taiwan

About the role

Verda is building a full‑stack AI cloud and needs a senior procurement professional to lead hardware sourcing in Taiwan. You will act as the company’s procurement hub in the region, working closely with the central team in Finland while independently managing end‑to‑end purchasing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full procurement cycle for components and servers: issue RFQs, evaluate quotes, negotiate pricing, place orders and track deliveries.
• Define sourcing strategies for key hardware categories, develop new supplier relationships and ensure competitive pricing.
• Manage day‑to‑day supplier performance, lead‑time, issue escalation and RMA coordination.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, customs clearance and shipment tracking for data‑center equipment.
• Support CAPEX planning and forecasting in partnership with the Finland procurement team and Finance.
• Review and manage procurement contracts, SLAs, liability clauses and price escalation, involving Legal when needed.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation, including purchase orders, invoices and supplier records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hardware procurement or supply‑chain management, preferably in a technology‑focused environment.
• Strong negotiation and vendor‑management skills with a track record of delivering cost‑effective solutions.
• Ability to work autonomously on‑site, handling logistics, customs and supplier issues.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
