Senior Java Software Engineer

About the role

Hytech is expanding its Taipei hub to become a global centre for payment technology development. As a Senior Java Software Engineer you will design, build and maintain high‑throughput, mission‑critical backend services that power fintech and crypto‑exchange platforms worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain highly available Java backend services using Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
• Architect system components, evaluate technical solutions and ensure scalability, reliability and performance.
• Optimize high‑concurrency processing, SQL queries, JVM memory usage, caching and message‑queue integration.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct code reviews, define development standards and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, frontend and other cross‑functional teams to deliver features on schedule.

Required profile

• Several years of professional experience developing large‑scale Java applications.
• Proven ability to work on high‑traffic, performance‑critical systems.
• Experience mentoring junior or mid‑level engineers.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to make sound technical decisions.
