Senior Hardware Design Engineer – Staff Electrical Design

About the role

The Staff Engineer, Electrical Design develops new electrical systems and circuits for a variety of applications, leading technical solutions from concept through manufacturing support. This senior role works cross‑functionally with designers, customers, manufacturing engineering and project leadership to deliver robust, high‑quality products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, development and implementation of technical solutions for complex, multi‑domain projects.
• Provide technical leadership to a sizable engineering team and act as a go‑to expert in one or more areas.
• Review and interpret customer requirements, creating schematics, bills of material, diagrams and system specifications.
• Test, simulate, validate and qualify electrical systems, troubleshooting performance issues.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, test, supply chain, reliability and industrial design teams to ensure robust product development.
• Manage relationships with key vendors, partners and internal stakeholders, and may oversee non‑technical project elements such as budget and schedule.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience in electrical hardware design and development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive complex projects to deployment.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate trade‑offs and recommend solutions.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work in an office environment.

• Electrical schematic capture and PCB design.
• Bill of Materials (BOM) creation.
• System simulation and testing tools.
• Hardware troubleshooting and performance measurement.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
