Senior Clinical Trial Manager (Homebased)

About the role

ICON plc is seeking a Senior Clinical Trial Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of clinical studies on a home‑based basis. You will work within a diverse, inclusive team to ensure trials meet timelines, budgets, and regulatory standards while fostering strong relationships with investigators and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, initiate, and manage all phases of clinical trials, ensuring adherence to quality, timeline, and budget requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement trial protocols, procedures, and risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Maintain strong relationships with trial investigators, sites, and external vendors.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and ethical guidelines.
• Make critical decisions on trial design, vendor selection, and risk management.

Required profile

• University degree in medicine, science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to drive clinical deliverables and manage study timelines.
• Subject‑matter expertise in the designated therapeutic area.
• Prior clinical monitoring experience is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
