Regional Communications, Public Relations (PR) and Marketing

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a senior professional to lead regional communications, public relations and marketing initiatives in Hsinchu, Taiwan. You will act as a trusted partner to business units, the Communications & Public Affairs team, and Community Affairs, shaping the company’s reputation across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated communications projects and cross‑functional initiatives.
• Manage agency partnerships, communications budgets, and end‑to‑end execution across earned, shared and owned channels (PR, social media, digital marketing, website content).
• Translate communications strategies into brand, employee‑engagement and communications programs that deliver measurable results.
• Advise local leadership on strategic messaging and serve as an ambassador for the Applied Materials brand.
• Oversee community programs, including nonprofit partnerships, grantmaking, reporting and employee volunteer activities.
• Ensure consistency, quality and alignment of all communications assets with corporate brand and business priorities.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of experience in corporate, brand or internal communications; semiconductor or display experience preferred.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, judgment and interpersonal skills.
