Project Manager I

About the role

As a Project Manager I you will manage and oversee all aspects of projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. You will coordinate internal staffing, external vendors, and provide regular status updates to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Support project development from initiation to close‑out.
• Assist in defining scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop full‑scale project plans and related communication documents.
• Communicate project updates and progress to managers.
• Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Align activities with corporate safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, identify waste and drive corrective actions.
• Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend adjustments.
• Negotiate with department managers for required personnel.
• Determine staffing needs and adjust resources during the project cycle.
• Set and manage project expectations with team members.
• Identify and resolve issues, conflicts and dependencies.
• Plan and schedule timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Track milestones, deliverables and develop progress reports.
• Manage changes in scope, anticipate concerns and devise contingency plans.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 2 years minimum (4 years preferred) directing work in a project‑management capacity.
• Knowledge of business and management principles, strategic planning and resource allocation.
• Proven ability to manage processes to achieve objectives.
• Strong interpersonal, conflict‑management and negotiation skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
