Project Manager (Construction)

About the role

Turner & Townsend is hiring a Project Manager (Construction) in Taipei. You will lead the execution of construction and workplace projects, keeping them aligned with time, cost, quality and performance objectives. You will manage project teams, coordinate stakeholders and maintain effective project governance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and support project success criteria covering time, cost, quality and performance.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules.
• Monitor project finances against budgetary targets with the project quantity surveyor team.
• Manage change control processes and ensure proper documentation.
• Lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams and ensure effective communication across all stakeholders.
• Maintain project governance, processes and systems, and prepare formal project progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, health and environmental standards.
• Act as a key contact for clients and consultants, identify new business opportunities with existing clients and capture project learnings in internal knowledge systems.

Required profile

• Construction-related degree (e.g. Project Management, Construction Management, Design, Engineering) or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in project management or construction projects.
• Proven experience leading construction and workplace projects such as commercial office buildings and office/retail/showroom fit-outs.
• Certified by the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with people management experience.
• Native-level Chinese and business-level English; may need to work at the project location.
