Project Assistant Manager - Electrical Power Projects

About the role

Hitachi Energy Taiwan is looking for a Project Assistant Manager in Nangang District, Taipei. The role leads project teams and manages site activities from mobilization through completion, working closely with the Project Controls function and the customer. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the project team by setting clear guidelines, assigning responsibilities and monitoring internal and external resources to reach project milestones.
• Work with Project Controls to set up project plans covering scope, finance, schedule and risk.
• Supervise site activities, including construction, installation and commissioning, against approved drawings, specifications and schedules, and monitor daily progress.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment and materials, and review and approve work plans, method statements and site procedures.
• Monitor progress, costs, invoicing and cash flow, and manage risks, claims, variations and contract matters.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain Management and support supplier negotiations.
• Lead project acceptance and close-out, capture lessons learned, and act as the main customer contact and escalation point.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal procedures, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher; electrical power engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred.
• At least five years of experience in the electrical power engineering industry.
• Proven project management experience covering scope, schedule, financial performance, risks, contracts and stakeholders.
• Experience managing site activities and with new-build projects in the semiconductor industry.
• Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin, and willingness to travel domestically as needed.
