Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)

About the role

Greene, Tweed is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead safety, quality and productivity in its manufacturing area. The role ensures on‑time delivery while keeping cost of goods sold within budget and drives continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma principles.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily operations of the assigned department, including staffing levels and budget accountability.
• Provide training and reinforcement so the workforce can produce quality products that meet company and customer requirements.
• Administer company rules, safety policies and initiate corrective actions when needed.
• Communicate across shifts and departments, offering leadership support and answering operator questions.
• Analyze performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities and communicate expectations to achieve plant commitments.
• Guide compliance with Standard Work, recommend improvements to work instructions, methods, processes and equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED required; preference for candidates with a BS degree.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification is desired.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years of direct supervision.
• Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment focused on continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead by example.
