Production Planner

About the role

Greene, Tweed is seeking a Production Planner to support short‑term (0‑90 day) planning and exception management for a specific value stream. The role ensures manufacturing, warehouse, procurement and business planning requirements are met while driving efficient “make, move, and buy” decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Execute planning activities following global and plant standards, using MRP reports to assess order requirements and stock availability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, customer service and other planners to establish accurate production schedules and lead‑time estimates.
• Identify and communicate issues that could affect delivery dates, providing recommendations to mitigate impacts.
• Support quoting of lead times for new part numbers based on capacity, equipment capabilities, inventory and tooling.
• Recommend lot sizing and maintain material master data and routing information.
• Utilize capacity planning tools, contractual obligations and inventory data to forecast constraints and propose solutions.
• Participate in short‑term planning meetings (PAT, ITP, Scheduling Review) and manage SAP Finite Scheduling, SAP Exception Message Management and SAP ECC processes.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2 + years of manufacturing experience with a degree, or 5 + years without a degree.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, master data management and capacity planning concepts.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
