Production Operator I – Manufacturing

About the role

The Production Operator I works on the Chemraz production lines in a clean‑room environment, ensuring products meet quality standards and customer specifications. The role involves handling molds, operating various machines, and performing inspections to maintain high‑quality output.

Key responsibilities

• Store, retrieve, assemble and clean molds for production.
• Load and unload ovens, operate mills, extruders and presses to manufacture preforms.
• Deflash, inspect and finish parts using gauges, micrometers and other measurement tools.
• Perform final inspection of parts and record data in the GT collection system.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe production environment, free of harmful elements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to learn and perform tasks in a team‑oriented setting.
• Capability to read and follow work instructions, SOPs and SPCs.
• Strong work ethic, safety mindset and willingness to learn new tasks.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with SAP or a comparable system is desired.

Required skills

• Operation of mills, extruders and compression presses (27” and 16”).
• Mold handling, cleaning and assembly.
• Use of gauges, micrometers and other measurement tools for inspection.
• Data entry into production tracking systems.
• Basic SAP usage and computer proficiency.
