Product Installation Engineer

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is looking for a Product Installation Engineer in Hsinchu. The engineer installs semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites locally and worldwide, making sure the systems meet their performance specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Install semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites, covering setup, alignment, calibration, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of complex equipment.
• Troubleshoot problems in software, electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems.
• Complete required and ongoing technical training on company equipment, including installation procedures and diagnostic techniques.
• Prepare field service reports and daily pass-downs on installation progress and non-conformances.
• Contribute to post-activity quality feedback and improvement.
• Follow documented procedures, exercise judgment within them and recommend process improvements when needed.
• Represent the company to the customer and take accountability for customer satisfaction with installation and upgrade activities.
• Handle international travel, obtain travel documents and manage personal affairs so that long trips abroad do not disrupt scheduled activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work in local or remote locations with domestic and international travel averaging 60-70%.
• Fresh graduates with the right demeanor are also considered.

• MS Office suite.
• Computer theory, operating systems and networking in Windows, Unix or Novell environments.
