Packaging Graphic Designer

About the role

Within the Global Tools & Storage division of Stanley Black & Decker, the Packaging organization is looking for a Graphic Designer to design and execute production packaging for global brands. The role suits a self-starter who takes initiative, manages projects and works with designers, brand strategists, product managers and package engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Create packaging artwork and labels using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
• Work with die line files to place artwork accurately for production and assembly
• Develop and illustrate graphic icons
• Follow standards and templates to keep brand consistency across categories and business units
• Explore and implement automation tools to increase efficiency
• Collaborate with global partners, share best practices and resources, and work with the Global Customer Experience team
• Ensure all information is available before starting a project and track iterations and reviews for approval
• Proof and perform quality control on your own and others' work, then prepare and collect files for final output
• Work under pressure while tracking details of multiple projects

Required profile

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of work experience with an in-house marketing team or advertising agency
• Experience in a highly matrixed, global company
• Understanding of on-press production processes
• Portfolio with relevant work examples

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
• Excellent time management and project management, able to supervise several projects with little supervision
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects at once
• Design thinking, creative problem-solving and growth mindset
