Medical Advisor – Field Medical Team

About the role

The Medical Advisor joins Ipsen’s Field Medical team to act as a scientific bridge between the company, investigators, thought leaders and healthcare providers. This doctorate‑educated professional will support the exchange of medical information, foster research collaborations and help drive clinical trial activities across the therapeutic area.

Key responsibilities

• Provide deep scientific expertise on Ipsen’s marketed and pipeline products to thought leaders within the assigned territory.
• Build and maintain relationships with regional investigators, thought leaders and HCPs to capture emerging healthcare trends.
• Respond to on‑ and off‑label inquiries in compliance with legal, regulatory and company policies.
• Represent Ipsen at scientific conferences, CME events and medical meetings.
• Collect and relay scientific insights from stakeholder interactions to internal teams.
• Support investigator‑sponsored studies (ISS) and company‑sponsored studies (CSS) from site identification through enrollment and operational management.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, R&D, HEOR, Medical Information and Commercial Operations to align scientific and technical needs.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD, MD, PharmD) in a relevant scientific or clinical discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in the therapeutic area of interest.
• Experience interacting with investigators, thought leaders and healthcare providers.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial processes and regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Scientific expertise in disease‑state management and therapeutic area.
• Ability to translate complex medical data into clear, compliant messaging.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Knowledge of clinical research operations and investigator‑sponsored study processes.
