Logistics Specialist – Transportation & Trade Compliance

About the role

Micron Technology is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support its global transportation and trade compliance operations. The role will coordinate shipments across multiple modes, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within a fast‑paced, high‑tech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate air, ocean, express, and trucking transportation.
• Manage urgent shipments and escalation cases to meet critical business requirements.
• Monitor carrier performance, transit times, and delivery commitments.
• Support transportation cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Ensure import and export transactions comply with local and global trade regulations.
• Maintain logistics records and documentation according to company retention requirements.
• Support internal and external audits related to trade compliance and logistics operations.
• Submit government‑required logistics and customs reporting when necessary.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Support logistics automation, digitalization, and AI initiatives.
• Develop SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Participate in logistics projects and supply chain transformation programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• 0–2+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, supply chain, or import/export operations.
• Fluent Chinese and business‑level English communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Incoterms and international transportation practices.
• Understanding of customs regulations and trade compliance requirements.
• Experience with SAP ERP or equivalent systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI reporting capabilities.
• Familiarity with shipment management platforms and logistics dashboards.
• Exposure to Power Automate, AI‑enabled process improvements, and export control regulations (ECCN, EAR).
• Understanding of logistics security programs such as GPS tracking, high‑value shipment controls and AEO requirements.
