Logistics Operations Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Logistics Operations Manager to lead and coordinate logistics activities across multiple outsourced providers and internal teams. The role is based in Luzhu District, Taoyuan City, and focuses on maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, and supporting the company’s semiconductor and advanced display manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage operations with multiple outsourced logistics providers and internal teams, overseeing planning, ordering, purchasing, and customer account specialists.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels across several locations and conduct reconciliations, validations, and audits of warehouse inventory.
• Determine staffing requirements, recruit, train, and retain key personnel to support staff development.
• Generate documentation such as activity/status reports, operation review inputs, and excess/obsolete analysis.
• Administer company policies, including performance reviews, and handle claims for lost or damaged materials.

Required profile

• Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including standing for extended periods, lifting, and navigating tight spaces.
• Strong analytical skills to review data, identify issues, and recommend policy changes.
• Leadership experience to provide direction, administer policies, and manage employee performance.
• Effective problem‑solving judgment within defined procedures to implement corrective actions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for presenting technical information and gaining cooperation from stakeholders.
