Inventory Analyst

About the role

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for monitoring inventory levels, ensuring traceability, and identifying root causes of inventory inaccuracies. The role provides feedback and solutions to management to eliminate discrepancies and supports material handling functions as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all material transactions for assigned areas and perform regular component cycle counts.
• Identify, resolve, and determine root causes of inventory discrepancies, recommending changes to prevent recurrence.
• Assist in material handling, fill in for other inventory control personnel, and help eliminate manufacturing downtime.
• Perform inventory transactions and reporting on customer systems when required.
• Support development and implementation of materials management systems to enhance inventory control.
• Interface with supervisors, engineering, program management, and other plant functions while adhering to safety and security policies.

Required profile

• Ability to present information clearly and respond to questions from managers and clients.
• Strong problem‑definition skills, data collection, fact establishment, and drawing valid conclusions.
• Proficiency with personal computers, Windows operating systems, and advanced PC software, including Jabil’s internal packages.
• Basic arithmetic and ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret graphs.
• Capability to read and understand visual aids, simple correspondence, and follow one‑ or two‑step instructions.
