HR Specialist

About the role

Air Products is seeking an HR Specialist to manage daily HR operations, support employees and managers, and drive continuous improvement across HR processes. The role will be based in Taiwan and will work closely with internal teams to ensure compliance and excellent service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily HR processes such as background checks, onboarding, off‑boarding, attendance, allowances, and employee assistance programs.
• Manage statutory programs including National Health Insurance, Labor Insurance, and Labor Pension.
• Provide payroll‑related data, including overtime, leave, allowances, and dependent information.
• Maintain audit‑ready HR records and support internal and external HR audits.
• Serve as first‑line HR contact, answering policy and procedure inquiries for employees and managers.
• Utilize HR systems (SmoothHR, Workday, HR Case Management Tool, employee learning system) and assist users with navigation and issue resolution.
• Support compensation and benefits surveys, government reporting, and prepare knowledge documents such as FAQs and policy summaries.
• Assist in HR projects, process enhancements, and identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve employee experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of HR Operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of Taiwan labor laws and statutory requirements.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer‑service skills.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
• HR certification and good command of spoken and written English are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SmoothHR.
• Experience with Workday (plus).
• Familiarity with HR Case Management Tool.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
