Global Technical Trainer (Hsinchu)

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a Global Technical Trainer to deliver specialized technical training to internal teams and customers worldwide. The role involves classroom and lab instruction, curriculum development, and supporting engineering projects from the Global Technical Learning Center in Hsinchu.

Key responsibilities

• Present technical training both on‑site and at customer locations, requiring domestic and international travel (20‑30% of time).
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge, develop and certify training courses, and create technical documentation to fill gaps in released materials.
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting for training systems, ensuring safety retrofits and system functionality.
• Coach and mentor junior instructors, lead class delivery, and manage multiple training projects.
• Support engineering teams with ECO reviews, generate documentation, and develop best‑known methods for new product testing.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of field experience with hardware and process knowledge.
• Hands‑on experience with semiconductor tools (ALD, MDP, IMP, CMP, Etch, PDC, DDP) is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong English presentation skills and clear communication ability.
• Willingness to travel internationally (20‑30%) and work flexible schedules, including occasional shift assignments.
