Frontend Engineer – Real-Time Streaming Platform

About the role

Proton’s Meet team is looking for a Frontend Engineer to help build a secure, high‑performance real‑time streaming platform for encrypted video calls. You will work on user‑facing features that deliver a seamless, responsive experience across devices while protecting user privacy.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable React components for the Meet UI.
• Collaborate with backend, design, and product teams to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Ensure performance, accessibility, and security standards are met.
• Advocate for clean, maintainable code and strong frontend architecture.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience building complex applications with React.
• Proficiency in TypeScript or another typed language.
• Track record of leading large‑scale frontend projects.
• Passion for privacy‑focused products and open‑source development.
