Finance and Accounting Specialist

About the role

The Finance & Accounting Specialist will manage daily accounting operations, month‑end and year‑end closing, tax compliance and audit support for Boehringer Ingelheim Taiwan. The role requires solid accounting fundamentals, hands‑on tax experience and the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and preparation of financial reports.
• Manage local and corporate tax affairs such as corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax and related filings.
• Prepare tax‑related reports including transfer pricing, country‑by‑country reporting and tax applications.
• Oversee cash flow management, cash forecasts and fixed‑asset accounting.
• Coordinate external audit activities and provide required documentation to auditors and tax authorities.
• Support ad‑hoc projects, process improvement initiatives and internal control enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; experience in a CPA firm preferred.
• Familiarity with local tax regulations and pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Self‑motivated with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of SAP ERP.
