Field Service Engineer (On-site Customer Support) - Hsinchu

About the role

IMS Nanofabrication, a global semiconductor equipment manufacturer headquartered in Austria with subsidiaries in Taiwan, South Korea and the USA, is hiring a Field Service Engineer for its Hsinchu site. The engineer works on-site at the customer location, supporting the daily operation and maintenance of Multi-Beam Mask Writer (MBMW) equipment to keep tool uptime and stability at maximum.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and maintain MBMW equipment daily to ensure maximum tool uptime and stability
• Perform daily system and facility checks and routine preventive maintenance
• Troubleshoot and recover tools from system errors or incidents, working a morning/afternoon rotation and on-call schedule
• Carry out preventive maintenance, including troubleshooting and part replacement
• Operate, calibrate and optimize MBMW performance
• Support tool installation across all phases, including coordination, testing and acceptance
• Document tasks and create and update service records in the company's ticketing system

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics or a related field
• Very good written and spoken English
• Able to understand and explain complex technical content clearly
• Resilient under pressure, able to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible to rotational shifts and flexible working arrangements
• Willingness to work in a clean room; vendor experience with semiconductor customers is beneficial

Required skills

• Familiarity with vacuum systems or high-voltage systems is a strong advantage
• Knowledge of MBMW equipment and semiconductor tool maintenance
