Field Service Engineer – Battery Energy Storage Systems

About the role

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) ensures reliable operation and long‑term performance of utility‑scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The role delivers high‑quality service, maintenance, and technical support while coordinating with contractors and internal teams to uphold safety, quality, and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with customer Operations Teams to provide timely, professional responses to service needs.
• Perform onsite diagnostics, troubleshooting, and hands‑on technical support for BESS equipment.
• Supervise third‑party service contractors to ensure safe execution of planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Report daily to the Taiwan Services Leader to meet LTSA deliverables and proactively mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with internal teams—including 24/7 Remote Monitoring, Performance Analysts, Deployment, and Product Development—to drive continuous improvement and customer success.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in wind, solar, or industrial/utility O&M.
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) for daily collaboration with regional and global teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple overlapping projects and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Experience managing contractors within a matrix organization.
