Field Applications Engineer - HBM

About the role

Micron Technology is hiring a High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) Field Applications Engineer for its Taipei office. The engineer joins a customer engineering team responsible for strengthening technical partnerships, helping customers get the best products and maximizing revenue. The role acts as the local execution and escalation point of contact for key HBM customers.

Key responsibilities

• Align and expand the HBM program with key customers, assist with HBM qualifications and manage technical opportunities
• Grow technical relationships with key HBM customers and escalate issues locally
• Work with qualification labs to complete qualification and debug issues
• Influence engagement strategies on HBM opportunities with key customers
• Work with Sales and Business Units to build and track a strategic plan
• Help identify new business and discuss ongoing projects, concerns and future needs
• Solve technical challenges with Micron products and customer systems, acting as the central contact during critical issues
• Advise customers on memory architecture, recommend products, deliver technical training and develop solutions
• Interface with the hands-on validation team and provide real-time technical expertise

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in design, product, test, support, system or applications engineering in DRAM and/or compute systems
• Direct experience with GDDR and/or HBM is a plus
• Experience with systems (HBM, graphics memory, interfaces, error reporting, AI platforms), advanced packaging/integration and failure analysis during NPI
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or in a team and interact with engineers and customers at executive level
• Willingness to travel as required

Required skills

• Hands-on lab skills for memory (DRAM) design-in; HBM experience preferred
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting, including lab testing with oscilloscope and logic analyzer
• PC skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Quality and reliability experience is a plus
