Facilities Engineer – Facility Management & AI Integration

About the role

The Facilities Engineer will join Micron’s facility shift team, working rotating day and night shifts to develop and implement comprehensive facility management programs. This role ensures the reliability of building systems, drives infrastructure upgrades, and applies AI‑enabled tools to improve operational excellence while maintaining strict safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed facility management programs.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain and upgrade HVAC, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure.
• Conduct regular inspections, assessments, and preventive maintenance.
• Lead facility projects, ensuring on‑time and on‑budget delivery.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot facility‑related issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on process improvements and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Leverage approved Generative AI, AI Assistants, Power BI and other digital technologies to enhance operations while following Micron’s responsible AI policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facilities Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in facility engineering or management.
• Strong understanding of building systems such as HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
• Excellent project management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions under pressure and communicate effectively.
• Basic proficiency in English; Mandarin is a plus.
• Interest in AI, digital transformation, automation and data analytics.
• Familiarity with AI Assistants, Generative AI, Power BI, automation platforms or Python is advantageous.
