Equipment Technician – Chemistry Lab (OMT MQC)

About the role

Micron Technology is seeking an Equipment Technician to support the OMT MQC Chemistry Lab. The role involves monitoring, maintaining, and improving laboratory tools while collaborating with shift operations, equipment engineers, and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Adhere to safety protocols and wear required PPE in a cleanroom environment.
• Operate and collect data from equipment such as IC analyzers, Gas Chromatography (GC) and ICP‑MS instruments.
• Perform abnormal analysis, reaction tracing, and tool performance monitoring.
• Schedule and execute preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic equipment issues.
• Integrate AI‑assisted tools to improve efficiency and quality.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives within the lab.

Required profile

• Background in Chemistry, Chemical Industry, or Chemical Engineering (preferred but not mandatory).
• Higher vocational education or higher qualification is advantageous.
• Ability to work day/night shifts with regular attendance.
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom and wearing PPE.
• Strong teamwork ethic and proactive communication.

Required skills

• Operation of IC equipment, Gas Chromatography (GC) and ICP‑MS.
• Mechanical and electronic troubleshooting and repair.
• Proficiency with PC applications: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Basic AI‑tool usage for data analysis and process improvement.
