Director, Server Production

About the role

Supermicro is seeking a Director of Server Production to lead the manufacturing of high‑performance AI GPU servers. The role oversees multiple production lines, drives yield improvement, and implements advanced digital tools to ensure efficient, high‑quality output.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities across multiple lines to meet aggressive output targets for AI GPU servers.
• Implement Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) to maximize resource utilization.
• Drive initiatives to achieve industry‑leading First Pass Yield (FPY) and lead root‑cause analysis for bottlenecks.
• Supervise specialized testing environments, including high‑wattage burn‑in and liquid‑cooling leak testing.
• Lead implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and AI‑driven predictive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Manage production budgets, reduce scrap rates, and apply Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Ensure compliance with EHS and safety standards for heavy rack movements and high‑voltage testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in high‑tech electronics manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Direct experience with AI Server L10/L11 production and GPU‑based hardware.
