Data Scientist, Analytics

About the role

Appier’s Ad Cloud processes millions of bid requests per second, and the company needs data‑driven experts to uncover the hidden levers that boost campaign performance. As a Data Scientist, Analytics you will turn campaign, auction and user‑behavior data into actionable insights, validate them with rigorous A/B testing and see the impact materialise in live advertising campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Mine campaign, bidding and user data to identify high‑leverage opportunities for performance improvement.
• Investigate performance shifts and contradictory metrics to uncover root causes, not just correlations.
• Partner with ML scientists, engineers, product managers and operations to translate insights into changes across bidding algorithms, creative serving and system architecture.
• Design, execute and interpret a high volume of A/B tests on live campaigns, define metrics and make clear go/no‑go decisions.
• Define metric frameworks, build underlying datasets and pipelines, and deliver dashboards that enable stakeholders to monitor campaign health in real time.
• Leverage AI assistants and agentic tools throughout the workflow to increase analytical throughput.

Required profile

• Relentlessly curious and comfortable asking “why” repeatedly until an anomaly is fully explained.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to dig deep into data and challenge initial explanations.
• Collaborative attitude, able to work closely with ML scientists, engineers, product and operations teams.
• Results‑oriented, willing to drive insights through to production impact.
