About the role
Air Products is seeking a Construction Safety Engineer to lead safety supervision on large‑scale petrochemical, chemical or industrial gas construction projects. The role combines on‑site safety inspections, compliance with state regulations and support for the health and fitness demands of field work.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise construction safety activities on world‑class projects.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with state safety inspector standards.
- Maintain personal health and fitness standards required for climbing, ladder work and extensive field walking.
- Work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, as project needs dictate.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Health & Safety.
- State safety inspector certification (mandatory).
- 5–10 years of field construction safety supervision experience on world‑class projects.
- Preferable experience on petrochemical, chemical or industrial gas projects.
- Ability to pass a respiratory fit test and meet physical fitness requirements.
- Willingness to adhere to company drug and alcohol policy and other corporate requirements.
