Business Transformation Consultant – Manufacturing

About the role

IBM Consulting is seeking a Business Transformation Consultant specialized in manufacturing. You will partner with leading companies to drive Industry 4.0 initiatives, leveraging AI, IoT and cloud technologies to accelerate digital transformation and improve operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze client data to formulate hypotheses, test conclusions and recommend productivity‑enhancing solutions.
• Guide clients through the design and implementation of Industry 4.0 strategies using AI and IoT.
• Develop cloud‑based digital‑floor solutions that apply machine‑learning insights to boost throughput, yield and process optimization.
• Stay current on emerging AI, IoT and Watson assets to ensure successful technology integration.
• Deliver end‑to‑end solutions, overseeing implementation and integration within manufacturing operations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (preferred).
• Proven experience developing and executing Industry 4.0 strategies.
• Strong consulting background with data analysis, hypothesis formulation and solution development.
• Experience creating cloud‑based digital solutions for manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate emerging technologies such as AI, IoT and Watson.
