Backend Engineer (AI‑Enhanced)

About the role

We are looking for a backend engineer who is passionate about building scalable web services and is excited to leverage AI tools to work faster and smarter. You are expected to use AI to accelerate development, build internal tools, and, when needed, handle lightweight frontend tasks to support end‑to‑end delivery. This is not a traditional backend role – we seek engineers who think in products and can work across boundaries with AI assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end development of game event websites and backend services, driving features from requirements to delivery while using AI tools.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems with Python and Django, ensuring reliability, performance, security, and clean data modeling.
• Leverage AI tools to translate designs into functional frontend implementations using Vue/Nuxt, handling state management and user flows.
• Actively use AI for coding, debugging, testing, and documentation, validating and refining AI‑generated outputs.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions and drive execution with minimal overhead.

Required profile

• 2+ years of backend development experience with Python, Django, and RESTful API design.
• Hands‑on experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Antigravity) to accelerate development.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, SQL optimization, and basic caching (Redis).
• Working knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and modern frameworks like Vue/Nuxt.
• Self‑driven problem‑solver with ownership mindset, able to deliver impact‑focused solutions.
