ATE Test Hardware Design – Director

About the role

This pivotal position blends deep technical expertise in test hardware design, system integration, and validation with strong leadership capabilities. The Director will drive the creation and implementation of comprehensive test hardware strategies to ensure product quality, performance, and successful market launch.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global engineering teams and define technical roadmaps for test hardware.
• Oversee design, development, and validation of load boards, probe cards, and related test equipment.
• Focus on First‑Time‑Right silicon validation and high‑volume manufacturing readiness.
• Manage risks, ensure delivery of high‑quality hardware, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
• Maintain relationships with test hardware suppliers and drive lifecycle planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in hardware design, testing, validation, and quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven project‑management ability to coordinate multiple initiatives and vendor relationships.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills, especially with test engineering and operations.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in semiconductor test flows and SI/PI simulation for digital, mixed‑signal, high‑speed, RF, and mmWave designs.
• Hands‑on experience with Advantest platforms such as 93K, Exascale, J750, UltraFlex, and UltraFlex+.
• Knowledge of first‑time‑right silicon validation and high‑volume manufacturing processes.
• Ability to develop and execute test hardware roadmaps aligned with company goals.
• Familiarity with test hardware suppliers and ecosystem.
